Yunis Abbas was one of 12 men arrested and charged in connection to the 2016 crime, where a group of masked robbers broke into Kardashian’s hotel room at the Hôtel de Pourtalès during Paris Fashion Week and stole millions of dollars worth of jewelry after tying her up and holding her at gunpoint.  In a new interview with Vice News published over the weekend, Abbas addressed his involvement in the heist while revealing he has no guilt over the incident, despite having “no doubt” that the situation would leave the reality star traumatized.  “They should be a little less showy toward people who can’t afford it,” he said, attempting to turn the blame on Kardashian and her wealthy family. “For some people, it’s provocative.”  He referenced an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians where Kardashian threw her diamond in the pool. “I thought: ‘She’s got a lot of money. This lady doesn’t care at all,’” he said.  “Since she was throwing money away, I was there to collect it and that was that,” he continued. “Guilty? No, I don’t care. I don’t care.”  Abbas then recounted the story of the robbery. He and the other men involved entered the hotel room through an open door to the side of the building before they “overpowered” the concierge and took his keys to Kardashian’s room.  “I stayed downstairs,” he stated. “But two of my colleagues went upstairs with the concierge to go to Ms. Kardashian’s room, then they picked up the jewelry [and] went downstairs.” When they got out, he said there were police officers standing outside, but they didn’t know anything about the robbery. Kardashian’s assistant had tried to call for help, but she called 911—the American emergency line.  Abbas served nearly two years in prison for the robbery, which included the $4 million engagement ring given to her by then-husband Kanye West.  The SKIMS founder spoke out about the traumatizing experience in a 2020 interview with David Letterman, where she described the situation as “seven or eight minutes of torture,” per Insider.  In his interview, Abbas acknowledged the trauma they caused Kardashian, stating, “You don’t come out of it unscathed…Of course she must have been traumatized.” It doesn’t make him any more remorseful for his involvement, though.  More Pop Culture:
