Grohl, 53, who started the program with songwriter-producer Greg Kurstin, joined Pink, 43, on stage at the Largo in Los Angeles, where they performed a rendition of one of her throwback smash hits. According to Rolling Stone, Pink—whose full name is Alecia Beth Moore—first addressed the audience by saying, “My name’s Alecia. I’m a Jew,” before leading into her 2001 track “Get The Party Started,” with Grohl on the drums and Kurstin on the keys.  The legendary performance was filmed on Monday, Dec. 5, in front of a live audience, marking the first-ever live edition of Hanukkah Sessions. The event comes as the third in a series, after Grohl and Kurstin first began the project back in 2020 to celebrate the Jewish holiday by sharing eight covers of songs by Jewish artists. This year’s show, presented by director Judd Apatow, also featured a lineup of other impressive stars, including Yeah Yeah Yeah’s Karen O, Jack Black, and Beck, whose performances are expected to release later this week. The proceeds of the program benefit the Anti-Defamation League, which works to fight antisemitism and achieve justice for all.
